Your printer is telling you the paper is either wrong size for setting, not enough paper to feed or too much. Or you have a paper jam causing confusion. Check inside unit for this. cheers lilacgerry ps : you can aslo try resetting printer settings.

Problem may be the paper tray. You don't say what kind of printer you have and my psychic abilities are nil.
The paper tray has sensors that tell the printer what size paper is in the tray. Make sure that the tray guides are set correctly.
By the way all paper trays are "in" trays.
Print out a config sheet to see what size paper the printer is set up for for each tray.

When I turn on my HP C6180, it wants to align the printer. When I do that, I get a "Paper Mismatch" "Pape size or type is incorrect" "Job cancelled". Trying to print anything results in the same thing....

mostly yes, the sensor is what is responsible for paper alignment. how ever you can try keeping an a4 size as all the printers tend to adopt default settings and work with it. place your paper correctly in position and then you can select the a4 and try printing a page.

After printing 1 page or a test page the attention light blink i check there is no paper jam everythings fine

Probably you are printing for a legal size paper on letter paper. Check the paper size and be sure you have letter 8 1/2 X 11, or whatever real paper you are loading on the printer.

Says no paper - but there is paper - was working fine now all of a sudden - have done all the trouble shooting and resetting.

Solved at last!!!

The problem isn't mechanical... I just realized that the "no paper" error posts when the software is trying to print to a paper size not supported by the printer. Go to Page Setup and make sure Paper Size is set to Letter.

In my case, the document I was trying to pring was set to Paper Size: Custom, probably because it was a scanned document and it didn't default to Size: Letter automatically. Hope this solution helps someone end their frustration...

Says "no paper"

don't know if it's the same problem i had but its maybe worth a try. My paper went in a little, the wheels were turning but it didn't take the rest of the paper or print.
someone replied to my problem, i tried it and it fixed 1st time. seems to of worked for others to, not always 1st time but it seems to reset the sensors or something
Solution:- Use a piece of thin card, a magazine cover is what i used, make sure its A4 size then try to print something, as the paper starts moving push it through! and hey presto it worked for me, everything printing fine now
let me know how you get on, Garty
