Same problem. Turning it on and off doesn't work very often and is not a very good solution if you have to do it multiple times a day.

What part do I need to repair, clean, or replace?

Good morning,am trying to fix a hp officejet pro l7780.It can't scan, copy or send fax.Could someone assist me please?

Does the fax/scanner light come on at all? If not, then that's the problem, because that's the only part that likely needs to warm up.

Do I need a new scanner bulb?

It sounds very much as if the scanner is faulty/failed. The warming-up phase is to ensure that the scanner lamps output is steady, making for consistent scans. Usually this is just a simple timing circuit.
Having once tried to fix a broken flatbed scanner myself, I found that obtaining the correct replacement lamp for it was impossible - I think inkjet printers and scanners are considered "consumable". You may be better off buying a new printer. Alternatively, if it keeps producing good prints, consider buying a separate scanner. HTH

6110 officejet, power light blinks. display says "warming up" continuously?

Pls run the attached file to resolve the issue.

Description:
These all-in-one product firmware updates will resolve issues with receiving faxes, warming-up, certain printing issues and memory full messages with the HP OfficeJet 6100 series products.

Warming-up - Under certain circumstances when the all-in-one will display "warming up" indefinitely after pressing one of the "Copy" or "Scan" buttons
After downloading and installing this firmware update, the software will determine if the hp all-in-one would benefit from this firmware update and inform you of the results.

Installation Instructions :
Download the file "HpAiOFWUpdate2_2.exe" via http://www.printer-drivers.com/drivers/246/246484.htm to a local hard drive. Make note where (in which folder) the file gets copied.
The hp all-in-one software for the OfficeJet 6100 series must be installed on your PC before installing this firmware update. The OfficeJet 6100 series must also be connected to your PC and turned on before proceeding.

Locate the file "HpAiOFWUpdate2_2.exe" on your hard drive and double-click the file to install the firmware update.

Warming up

This sounds like the scanner assembly or possibly just the bulb. Remember, the copy function is really 'scan to printer'.
