My laptop M-6312 is not turning on. No lights, no sounds, except for quiet whistling from speakers when AC is connected.

Rem,ove your battery and connect the ac adaptor again then let us know if you can boot up-if so your battery is suspect and should be replaced. If the problem is the same the pwr circuitry on the mainboard has blown and the mainboard will have to be replaced. You should also try another adaptor if you can get hold of one, to rule out a faulty adaptor.,

An overload with any other board, except the main power board too can cause this sleeking (Whistling) sound from the power board. It will be best to contact any service technician to confirm the actual faulty board. Gopakumar Gopalan Google

Overtime sound on computer decreasing.

Make sure that the sound source (iTunes, Youtube, etc...) is turned up, then check the speaker icon in your system tray (bottom right), and make sure not only that the sound is turned up for output and all the available options (CD, web browser, etc...), but also if your machine supports sound themes, make sure that it isn't on any kind of quiet preset.

If none of that helps, check that you're getting sound from both sides of the laptop. There might be a loose connection inside the machine. Also, if using headphones or external speakers, the jack will need to be plugged in all the way.

If you are using speakers that are not passive, they will need to be plugged into power, or the sound will be quite low.

How do i improve the sound on my packard bell kav60

If increasing the volume levels does not work then connect an externally powered speakers to the headphone socket on your laptop. These speakers will give better sound quality than laptop speakers.

Noise from dc adapter asus a6rp

A high frequency whistling sound may indicate a capacitor in the AC power adapter is beginning to fail, but it will often whistle while it works for years to come. You don't have to replace the AC power adapter just because you can hear it, unless it gets worse and worse over time or it gives you a headache. Because AC adapters employ switching mode technology, they are more likely to make noise when the battery is fully charged and the laptop is turned off. AC adapter bricks are usually glued shut and aren't designed for consumer repairs, so unless you have solid electronic troubleshooting skills and a source for parts, it's a question of living with it or replacing it outright.
