I wish there is someone could help me... my vaio PCG-9S1L had reformatted, when we installed the windows xp the screen is not full. there's a 1 inch black around the screen, and very slow unlike b4.

AFTER INSTALLING WIN XP YOU SHOULD INSTALL THE DISPLAY DRIVER. ONLY THEN YOU WILL GET A CLEAR SCREEN. AND IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE DRIVER THEN CHANGE THE RESOLUTION IN RIGHT CLICK->PROPERTIES.

PLS REPLY OR COMMENT. THANKS

Vga driver not install on win7 i dont have an idea what vga is built in and who i find its driver

Hi,

Your Sony VAIO VGNC Series were desiged for Windows Vista. Windows XP is compatible with this computer as well. The Video adapter installed in this computer Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950. According to Intel, this video adapter is compatible for Microsoft Windows* XP, Windows* XP 64bit, Media Center Edition 2004/2005, Windows 2000; Linux-compatible (Xfree86 source available). The only way this computer will work perfectly is to downgrade your Windows 7 to any of the mentioned Windows versions.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply/comment for further assistance. Good Luck!

Need to change Vista Ultimate System for Windows for Windows XP, in my laptop HP pavilion ze4229. Is there a domestic way to do it?

first thing you'll need is a genuine copy of windows xp to install from.
you will also need to format the hard drive before you attempt to insert the xp disc otherwise it will usually fail. you can do this with the hirens boot disc by going into mini xp then format the c drive.
replace the hirens disc with the xp disc and restart the computer and install xp.

'don't download the recommended download under the hirens title, go down the page to the hirens zip file)

I have an old Dell c600 and have just installed Windows 2000. My display is only taking up half the size of the total area - how can i expand it to fill the whole screen please?

Hi collywebs,

Go to this support site for the Dell C600 running Windows 2000. Not only can you download your video driver, but all drivers for your laptop, including all components. The video driver will be at the bottom of the page.
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd&os=WW1&osl=en&SystemID=LAT_PNT_P3C_C600&catid=-1&impid=-1

If you have moved your operating system to XP/XP Pro, this same driver should work also. This driver should allow your display to fill the screen in the proper aspect ratio.

I hope this helps your situation. Thanks.

Regards, Bill

Dell Vostro 1220 shutdown/restart problem

Frankly speaking, Vostro has many intermittent issue like slow start-up, application error during shutdown or restart. Sometimes it even crashed with our co antivirus, acrobat writer etc..

We have reported many cases to DELL but unfortuntely no fix solution. We have at least 5 machines out of 20 reported similar issue.

Tell you, the best is to upgrade to Latitude if you budget permit. No point wasting time on this.

Unofficially, dell engineer told our IT engineer that vostro has many problem and not really suitable for office use... that is why the price so cheap...

From my true heart. good luck!

Acer Aspire 5315

Shut the notebook completely down. Now turn it back on, and as soon as the Acer screen comes up, hit the “F2′ key to enter the BIOS. Navigate to the second page of the BIOS (titled “Main”) by pressing the right arrow key.

You may wish to turn of “Network Boot” by selecting it with your arrow keys and hitting enter, then changing it to disabled. This is often used in a cluster-lab environment, and for normal users only slows down your boot process.
You must now turn on the F12 Boot Menu by selecting it with your arrow keys, hitting Enter, and changing it to “Enabled”
Now switch to the “Exit” page, and hit Enter to “Exit Saving Changes”. The BIOS will ask you to confirm, tell it “Yes”.
Now the notebook will reboot, and you must hit F12 to boot from your CD.
On the “Boot Manager” screen, chose the second option which should be an ATAPI drive, such as a DVD-RW or CD-RW, highlight it with your arrow keys and press Enter.thank u,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
