Shuts down phone shuts off as soon as any key is pushed

1. hold down the Power key for a short while to turn off your phone.
2. Afterewards press and hold Volume Up + Power button simultaneously for a few seconds
3. You can release held keys as soon as Asus logo appears on the screen.
4. Then press Volume Down to select option "Recovery", and press Power button to confirm.
5. When the Andorid logo appears on the screnn hold down the Power key
6. While still holding this key press the Volume Up button once.
7. Press Volume Down to choose "wipe data/factory reset", and then push the Power key to confirm.
8. Select "Yes--delete all user data". Use Volume Down button to scroll and Power key to select.
9. To restart the phone, select "reboot system now".
10. Success! The hard reset is done!

Try taking the battery out for a minute or so then put it back in and power up the phone.

As it should, that is a theft prevention security mesure, make sure that the key fob has a fresh battery in it, the proximity sensor of the car should detect the key fob when you are close to the car

you do a buttoin hard reset.
whbile its off, u push the voume down key and then the power key as you plug the usb inti it, as soon as it vibrates , stop pushing the power key but still hold the volume key until a menu pops up with a bunch of choices, but follow the instructions to get to FACRORY REAER and push it, and you will have a wiped phone with no passcode

The remote starter shuts down when you step on the brake?!? That's exactly what it's supposed to do. To operate a proper "takeover" from the remote starter the key must be turned to ignition on, not accessory.

Yes this is an Alarm issue that's why your vehicle is shutting down as soon as you press on the brake pedal. Is this an aftermarket alarm or stock alarm? Sounds like aftermarket alarm to me and if it is, the way fix this issue is as soon as you put the red n black terminal on the battery and the alarm goes off press your alarm key right away to turn it off. If this doesn't work put your key on the ignition after you have installed the battery and just put it on the "ON" position engine OFF then click on your alarm remote once again.
