When I open the doors normally everything shuts off inside, ie radio, instrument panel etc. Last night it stopped working. Everything stays running. I hadto disconnect the battery to shut it down. Still not working after reconnecting the battery this morning.

Everything as in the engine continues to run, the radio stays on, the power windows continue to work, etc? What happens when you open the drivers front door? Does everything turn off? If not does the dome light work when the drivers front door is open? If it does not than the drivers front door switch might be the issue.
This Van has a system in it called delayed exit, this means the radio and other accessories stay on for a time as long as none of the doors are opened, when the door is opened the module senses that switch in the door is activated and shuts everything off. The easy way to test this is open the passenger door, if all shuts off you found the problem, the driver door switch is defective. the switch is attached to the door lock inside the door.
The radio if on, will stay on after the car is turned off until the door is opened - normal. The doors have a wiring harness going to each of them. It is possible for it to be damaged or disconnected.
Check your DOME light switch. There are 3 positions. Completely OFF even with doors open, ON with doors shut so you can read while parked, NORMAL for the lights to come on only when the doors are open.
Your headlight switch will also turn everything ON inside when it is turned completely to one side. Just twist this switch a little towards center if this is on.
Nothing wrong
with it. When you remove the key, it stays on for about 20 minutes. It gives
you time to finish listening to your radio and roll up the window. Once the
driver door is open, everything shuts off or if 20 minutes has passed.
Pull instrument/ cluster panel and re-melt cold solder joints where circuit board connects to dash connectors. Get them hot enough to turn them bright silver, usually 3-5 seconds each pin.
