Ok.... did it work before and just quit? Have you recently treid to update the firmware? And.... if this has never been on the system before, have you installed any software that came with it? Of course....model of the unit, what type of modem and PC system you have would be helpful info as well.

THANKS

I used to have 5 computers hooked to a DLINK router (DI-707) for a LAN and the router hooked to a modem for internet. I changed IP and got a pk500 modem. I can plug 4 computers to the pk500 and get...

This might actually has nothing to do with the router itself, you may need to call your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and let them know you have a new router. They may have to configure it themselves because some modems are not plug-and-play (which means when you get a new router, the modem doesn't automatically recognize the new router.) So, your best bet right now is to call your ISP and they will walk you through it. I faced a similar issue and finally got through by simply calling my ISP, calling the router's manufacturer may do nothing, at least it didn't for me.
Try this: Unplug all internet cords, unplug all power cords. Wait about 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Connect your router to the modem with one internet line, into to the appropriate ports. Next, plug your modem into the power source, and let it run for approximately 4 minutes (or until all of the lights are on and it is ONLINE.) It varies per modem on when it is 100% online. Next, plug your router into the power source, and wait until it loads 100%. Then try plugging into one of your computers, not all, one, and preferably using Windows Operating systems because they detect internet more easily than Mac.
If all else fails, one more troubleshooting to do, and that is to plug your computer DIRECTLY from the modem to the computer via internet cord, bypassing the router. If you get internet from the modem, then it is supposed to work, the router could be the issue. If you are NOT getting the internet, then the modem is the issue.
Lastly, I really think calling your ISP would solve the issue all together. GOOD LUCK!

Cant connect to the internet

If you have called your isp to verify that they arent having any issues..

Power cycle your pc, router, and modem..

The pc you just need to restart, but the modem and router, you need to unplug individually for five seconds, and then plug back in..

then after unplugging the modem and wireless router, then restart the pc..

You need to update the firmware of your router. Download the latest firmware from Dlink website. You need to hard reset the router, load the firmware, then do another hard reset after you successfully updated the firmware.

Are any lights showing at all - if this is the case & you have no green lghts at all - then you have a problem with your power source & would suggest that you get a new power cable

Router won't log into it's IP address online

It appears to me that you have everything plugged into the desktop PC. This is not the way that it should be done. Plug the cable modem into the wireless router via the Internet/WAN port. Plug your desktop PC into one of the ports numbered 1-4. Now connect to the router via the wireless connection for the router and you should be able to now connect to the internet with your laptop.
If it still does not work, power down everything in this order: Laptop, Desktop, Router, Cable Modem. Bring everthing up in the reverse order (Cable Modem, Router, Desktop, Laptop) waiting for each device to stablize before moving to the next.
Once you get everything working, turn on your wireless security (WPA not WEP) asap to keep your computers and surfing safe, and to keep intruders off your network.

IP Address keeps failing on my Xbox 360

You shouldnt have an amp, when you do this. Also, you arent supposed to plug the modem directly into the console. It is supposed to be plugged into a router, which is pluged into a computer. That was, you can configure it.
