sound like you have samsungs dlp white spots plague, which just gets worst. samsung are aware of the problem, so you need to get in touch under the warranty.
This is usually caused by bad solder connections to a part called the vertical output integrated circuit. A TV service shop (if there are any in your area) could go over the connections, probably for their minimum labor charge. (I've been out of shop service for a long time now, so I have no clue what a typical labor charge might be. Sorry!) If other parts turn out to need replacement, which sometimes happens, they could give you an estimate for the repair.
The TV is under a LG factory 1 year warranty.
Unless you bought a refurbished unit which has a 30 day warranty.
Contact LG @ 1 800 243-0000 for warranty repairs.
Be sure to have the...
Date of purchase
Model#
Serial#
And Product code.
The information is on the back of the TV or on a small white tag
on the side of the TV.
It seems you might have an issue with the dmd board.
Go to the menu, and if the dots still show on the menu, the issue definitely is with the dmd board but if they don't come up on the menu, the issue will be with the video board.
If your Mitsubishi TV has white spots in the picture , you can call Mitsubishi @ 1-800-332-2119 and request a free DLP Chip to fix the problem. They will send the New DLP Chip at no charge to a TV Tech in your area to install it for $200 flat rate. That is about a $250 savings if you had to pay for the chip . Call them with your TV's Model number and serial number and let them know when and where you bought the TV. It saved me some hard earned money and now my TV is like New !
You will most likely need to replace the panel. You will have to contact Sony and they will send a Factory Trained Technician to your home to replace it. Since you are not on Factory Warranty this repair will cost you. You may find it cheaper just to replace the television.
