Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV9 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Well...you see, I have a problem. A big problem. I am working with a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV9 that has severe video head problems. The camera always had this problem, but it got worse when I started messing around with it. Before, it showed the usual pixels and the audio going in and out during playback. The camera recorded fine, it's just the playback that would be bad. UNTIL.......
about a week and a half ago I started to clean the video head with a Radio Shack liquid head cleaner with a lens cleaning cloth, (then with a paper towel) poking through the video head with the liquid. At first, the image was good until I cleaned more until the camera showed half of the picture completely black then the rest a distorted video image. It played no audio. So I cleaned it with other compounds, water, oil, and rubbing alcohol, which made the camera all the more worse (bad enough?!). When I inserted tapes, it would play the distorted images 10-20 seconds until I hear tape being jammed in the video head (the camera would just literally mess up tapes like never before!!), then automatically, stop playing. I would try to eject the tape, but the camera would make weird whirring sounds then sometimes finally eject the tape or just be plain stubborn and keep the tape. NOTICE: None of this problems happened before, until now.
Now, I know I went BEYOND stupid to try to resolve this problem, but it ain't happening. I really need ALL your help. Please give your feedback. Is it fixable or unfixable? Is it better to leave it alone, or do something? Will it ever play normally? If yes, how? How will I get working like any other camera normally? Need your answers, Hoping its fixable and hoping I do not have to spend money on a 8-year-old camera in the repair shop.

Here is an option....use " Hammer " and fix the Rest Of Camera.

Tips for a great answer:

My research shows that model is only for sale only in Asia, I looked into some similar USA released models and they did NOT have multiple language support so I am thinking that the DCR-TRV9 is only in Japanese.
Just out of curiosity are the markings on the camera body in English or in Japanese?
