Question about Microtek ScanMaker s400
My Microtek ScanMaker s400 will scan horizontal lines no matter if I want to scan an image or text. I've already deleted all the software and components off my iMac and downloaded it all back on. Still performs the same. I've never had any problem with it before. Anybody have the same problem? Any solutions?

SOURCE: Lines on scanned images
if the lines are cloudy take off the top and clean the lens with a soft towel (such as for cleaning glasses). If the lines are sharp, You got to change the whole scanning unit.

Microtek is famous for making a good product that will last you a good while if it is maintained and taken care of. Yet their lack of support for said products is lacking. Try to uninstall and reinstall all the software for the scanner. Make sure before you uninstall that you still have the install disc. If not then you can find the drivers on the Microtek site.
