Hi nph2go,

I can't be sure what you wrote because it got corrupted with HTML coding from the webpage.
It sounds like you want a manual with instructions (and hopefully some basic troubleshooting tips).

I'd contact the manufacturer (Salton, Inc.) customer servicesite for parts or manual. If they don't have them, they should knowwhere to send you (though if they don't, I'd seriously wonder about thecompany).

Go to

http://prc.prodregister.com/prodprotect/applica/

And click on "George Foreman" (lower-right portion of the page), it redirects you to a secure webpage where you can register.

https://secure.prodregister.com/prodprotect/applica/gf.shtml

Part of the page reads:
"Call toll-free or visit our websites for assistance if you need more help.

Parts & Accessories:

Product Warranty:
Service: 1-800-231-9786 (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., ET)"

OP Error on George Foreman grill model GRP99B

Hi srpaugh,

It might be fixable (I don't know your level of do-it-yourself skill or inclination, nor can I actually get my hands on it to tinker with it), but judging from the number of reports I've seen in the last couple of days on FixYa regarding these grills, there are some reliability issues that need to be resolved - - I'd be contacting the manufacturer and making them do the fix, particularly if it's still under-warranty.

Hi saddltramp,

If you've used the machine twice, I'm guessing it may still be under warranty.

I'd contact the manufacturer (Salton, Inc.) customer service site warranty service, or for parts or manual. I do not recommend jumpering/bypassing the safety mechanisms of the manufacturer (as noted by another respondent to your entry).

Everything you described is normal, except not heating up.
When you first plug it in, you will see 'dashes' that tell you it is getting power.
When you press the Power Button, the grill will start at the Default Temp of 300F and the Timer starts at 5 minutes. You now change the temp to what you want.
It takes 5 minutes to get your grill to your tempreature, so the timer should 'count-down' as the grill heats up.
As for not heating up, I think you will need to get that 'looked at' for repairs.

Display says CL and ERR and beeps continually?

The same thing is happening to my model and I called the 18009373883 and there is only a one year warranty on it, so if a year has passed your out of luck. If you have a valid receipt then they will give you directions on how to send it in for repairs. Sorry.
