I want to find a paper that i may have deleted in drafts in my e mail
If your talking web-mail like hotmail, gmail or a similar online solution then you should contact the provider (yahoo & small companies are likely to be able and willing to find a backup of the data) gmail etc. are much less likely.
Unfortunately email programs like outlook or mac mail store their data in database style packages. If you have a backup of your data from before you think you deleted it then I would start by opening up that (approximate time to do this 30mins).
When you say paper do you mean an email or a technical paper stored as an attachment (please respond in the comments).
If an attachment you will have much better luck than a standard email, your attachments will be stored in a particular folder, but this will depend upon the email client, if you need to find an attachment please repost your question with the following pertinent information: +the mail client in use eg outlook mac mail, thunderbird etc. Your operating system eg mac OS or windows XP, Vista, 7, etc. any further information about the file.
We can then help you find a suitable file recovery program that might yeild results.
Unfortunately recovery via your mail client is likely to be tough, if its an email then it will almost certainly be quicker to re-write from scratch.
If its an attachment then you should look at the origins of the file. Did you save it on your computer at any time as this may allow file easier file recovery.
Sorry to draw a fairly bleak picture, please feel free to re-post with more information about the situation and we can try to help more.
