Where can i get a free code for 2000 eclipse gt

In the USA anyone can get their radio code for free direct from Mitsubishi by telephone. You will need the following information:
Last 8 characters of your VIN # Radio Serial Number
Call Mitsubishi:
1-888-648-7820, option 1, option 4 Current hours: 6am to 5pm Pacific, M-F.
Tell representative that you replaced your battery and now need your radio code. If you are not currently a registered owner, they will ask for your info for registration. ==============================================================
If not in the USA then sorry....Main MITSUBISHI Dealer or Radio Decoding Service only for this code
It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet

Mitsubishi Eclipse Spider Gt-S I cannot figure out how to get the fascia panel and face plate off of the radio to get to the numbers needed to retrieve the radio code. How do I take the panels OFF?

The stereo in the Eclipse can be removed with nothing more than a Phillips screwdriver

Disconnect the negative battery cable from your Eclipse's battery. Remove the two Phillips screws along the bottom of the radio/climate control trim panel. Lift up the bottom of the trim panel to unlock the lower retaining clips. Work your fingers around the sides of the panel to loosen the other clips and remove the panel. Remove the four Phillips screws holding the stereo in place. Slide the stereo out of the dashboard and disconnect the wiring harness and antenna cable from the back of the device.

Hi, I have a 1998 Mitsubishi Spyder gs battery went dead and I need the CODE . Can it be found on the stereo system and if not where can I get it? Thank you, ASW

You must write down you VIN number. Also you may have to remove the radio to get the serial number and model number and write it down. Call the dealer or you may have to go to the Mitsubishi dealer and provide this information and prove you own the vehicle for them to relenquish the information. At this time they will tell you what you would need to push in order to bring the radio back to life. Hope this helps.

I have a 1999 eclipse spyder the infinity stereo is locked the time comes on for a second then goes away the light still stays on but it doesnt ask for a code it doesnt do anything

Get in touch with a Chrysler or Mitsubishi dealer customer service department. They will be the only ones that will be able to talk you through what to do.

My car radio locked after disconnecting the battery. entered wrong codes 3 times- now off. How do I get the ''off'' reset? Where can I get the reset code? Infinity 4 cd and cassett player in 2001...

Don't worry - you'll get 3 more chances in a couple days or so. If that is the factory radio and you know where the car was purchased, you can call the dealership and give them whatever info they ask for (your name, vehicle VIN, etc.) They should be able to look up the reset code in their computer system and give it to you. If it is the factory radio but you don't know what dealership sold it, you must remove the radio and look at the serial number. They may require you to bring the car in to the service department to do this and charge you a hundred bucks. If that's the case, think about upgrading.

I own a mitsubishi eclipse gt 2000 i had to disconnect the battery now the stereo is asking for a code. does anyone know the code?

for stock radio codes, check your owners manual front page or towards the back, normally the code will be written there, if it is not a stock radio call the manufacture and tell them the serial number and model number they can get you a generic code for it, or tell you what to press to reset it. hope this helps

Set up problem on eclipse cd3422

call 1-800-233-2216 (Fujitsu ten) and they will assist you in the removal of the security code for a $25 charge. the number being displayed is probably the serial number of your unit. If you can remove your radio the SN will be on a tag.
