Why aren't arrow keys working on keyboard

1. is you numluck key pressed (or the light is on)?, press it again
2. try to replace your keyboar for a known good keyboard. (ps2 or usb).
3. it may be a driver issue. go into the manufacturer's website and look for an updated driver for your keyboard controller. (ps2 or usb).

hope that gives you a good start to troubleshoot the problem.
(the options offered should be attempted in that order).

good luck!

Sometimes a problem like that is not related to the keyboard, but to the operating system itself. Hit Control + Shift+Esc keys to bring up the task manager. Click the "Processes" tab and look in the CPU column for excessive CPU use... anything more than 50% .Look to the left and find the program is that is causing the problem. This should give you a start for diagnosis. Average CPU use should run about 2-20%. You can read this at the bottom of the Task Manager. Constant CPU % running higher than this denotes a problem.

Dear Byteguy Thanks for getting back to me about my wireless connection problem. To clarify, my Brother-in-law had the keyboard disabled by an expert due to a problem, so am unable to use the "Fn" and...

If the keyboard had a problem you may not want to reactivate it. You should be able to find a solution in the keyboards owners manual or on the Belkin website. using the model number you may find they have a copy of the manual on the website. You should also check the frequently asked questions and troubleshooting sections to see if someone else has had this problem or a similar one and has gotten the answer. If all this fails you are going to have to call Belkins technical assistant and give them a clear description of the problem you are having with the keyboard. Also tell the about the situation that caused the original user to stop the use of the keyboard in the first place. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Moved my GATEWAY KR-0401 wireless keyboard & now won't work!

  1. Check and see if batteries are in keyboard and that they are still good and working.
  2. If the batteries are good and ready to go then make sure that the adapter for the wireless keyboard is plugged into the correct USB port in the back of your computer and that it's working.
  3. If none of the above works then what you'll need to do is go buy a wired keyboard and attach that to your computer and log into your account and find out what's going on with the wireless keyboard. Once you have figured out what is going on with your wireless keyboard then you can take the wired one back to the store and continue using the wireless keyboard. If I were you though I would keep the wired one around just in case.

If it is a USB then it should work with any keyboard and mouse. When you say it shuts off after XP loading screen, does the machine power off? have you tried unplugging the mouse and keybaord and let Windows load?

Laptop can no longer detect or conect to any network even though there is a wireless system in place.and does not even allow you to create a network as says none detected

What is the model of laptop, Most likely the issue is an external switch that turns on and off you wireless or a button at the top of the key board, or last and not least common is a key cobination on the keyboard aka FN+plus another key ( most times has a blue sybol on it and is most likely and F key (f1 f2 f3 f4 ect...)
