Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Formatedmy sansa e250 ntfs

I was having a problem with the sound cutting out during the playing of songs. First one side then the other, The sound would come back if I switched to the next song but would cut out again. I thought formatting might help. I screwed up and formated in ntfs and now windows won't recognize the drive in the sansa. If I put in a microsd card it will recognize that drive. How do I format fat32,

There is no format option under settings on the e250. When I connect to the pc with mtc it will not recognize the hard drive in the 250 only the micro sd card. When I try to connect with the mtp setting the pc won
    t recognize the 250.

To format it..on your device..go under..menu, setting and there should be a format option option there.. or you can change the device mode to MSC instead of MTP and right click on the drive which is listed under my computer and click on format..
let me know if that doenst work for you...
Hope this helps

I convert the file system of my sansa e250 to FAT32 and now it says release 6MB space even though no songs is there to play..not sure how to resolve it or revert back it now. -Rohit

Hook it up to your pc again via the usb cable and format it again, choosing NTFS file system. If you are running Windows XP you might only have option for FAT32. If you do reformat in FAT32 and it still doesn't work, you may need to download a drive management utility that can format a removalable drive in either NTFS or FAT32. If all else fails, you may need to download and install a flashing utility from the manufacturers website to revert the player back to factory condition.

No sound when playing back songs i have downloaded just amessage

The songs that you got are probably from the Rhapsody trial. Once the subscriptino expires, you will on longer be able to play those songs on your mp3 player.

To avoid this problem, only purchase songs that are in mp3 format from Rhapsody's Mp3 Store. You will find that mp3 players are expensive propositions in 2009 - it used to be much easier/cheaper.

If you want to go with illegal but free (I do not reccomend it), you can get songs from Limewire, Frostiwre, or Morpheus. Three warnings I must issue:
1) Only download songs that say "Mp3" under file format.
2) Some ISP's will cut off your internet service if you use limewire
3) Make sure you have strong Anti-Virus software on your computer, b/c the free svcs are littered with viruses/adware/etc.

I suggest try updating the firmware of the player. Have you tried listening to the FM station to see if it is only the songs that are being affecter? Also try to use another headphone.
