You lucky person , your stick is not broken , you simply need to look in windows explorer for it it will be empty of course

of course if your little light isn't on , that means your computer can not see the silly thing at all and isn't not communicating with it.

1. Enable any services that even remotely look like that have anything to do with PNP or USB or Virtual Disks

2. Move the stick to a PRIMARY USB header not a secondary one.

I hope that gets you going , or at least one step closer.

How do I use a Sandisk Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive on an Ibook G4 Apple

You can safely plug in into the usb drive, the system will recognize it with no problem.
The only think you have to remember is to "unmount it". To do so you should drag the flash drives icon into the recycle bin. When you don't see the icon and the led stops to flash you can safely remove it

How do you save files on a sandisk cruzer flash drive?

Insert the cruzer into the usb port. You should see a message pop up and say new hardware found and then flash off. It may also say usb memory or storage device or even recognize it as the cruzor. This recognition process is fairly quick say 5-10 seconds. After that the computer knows what the cruzer is and its ready for use.

The cruzer is now seen as another drive or storage drive on your computer. Your hard drive is usually C , the CD/DVD would be D drive and the cruzer would be seen as E. If you are in a program and want to save to the cruzer you open the file/save and you should see E drive or Cruzer if not click on my computer and look for it there. Once you find it just click on it and then hit save/ok. Thats all there is to using one. Once you know how to find it as a save option or a loading option then you just treat it like a hard drive.

Once you get it sorted out you will use it a lot. They are very handy.

I have a sandisk 2gb cruzer micro usb flash drive but it is not working from last some days what cani do , can i replace it from nearest sandisk centre.

You might be able to if it is under warranty, otherwise no.

Sometimes when a flash memory stick fails because it was not removed from the USB port properly. If the device is removed by just pulling it out of the USB port, it can cause the flash device to fail, you must click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Task Bar and select the device you wish to remove and only do so when instructed to do so.

When the flash memory device appears to malfunction it maybe possible to restore it by reformatting it. Insert the flash drive into the USB port then Click on Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management - Disk Management.
Then right click on Disk 1 removable drive and click Format. After the flash drive has been formatted it will indicate that it is Healthy.

Sandisk Cruzer no longer prompting for password

I think the problem is corrosion on the contacts. Shut the computer off. Gently insert and remove the USB drive several times to try and clean the contacts. Turn the computer ON and when Windows has set up properly, insert the USB drive and see if you can read it. Many of the new drives and reader ports do not use gold contacts (too expensive) but use copper or aluminium which corrode easier an easiest.
