The Easy Setup Instructions (link at the bottom) show you how to install the new Print Head and Ink Tanks. You might find it helpful in changing the ink tanks. Give it a try. Take care & good luck!

SOURCE: Canon iP90 Printer Ink Issue

I have had the same issue with my iP90.  I think this results from the black ink nozzle becoming clogged.  I was able to get mine to print by cleaning the nozzles. To clean the print nozzles open the Canon IJ Printer Utility, select the printer from the list of available printers and click the maintenance button.  Then, select a cleaning or deep cleaning cycle.

SOURCE: Canon iP90 Printer Problem

I have 2 MP 390s. On one the print head is stuck on right and does not move. On the second the black ink does not print but everything else seems to be fine. How can I remove the print head from the stuck machine and place it on the other one?

SOURCE: Canon IP90 portable . No ink printing.

Have you performed a nozzle test? If one or more of the colors is missing when you do the nozzle test, the printhead itself is likely in need of replacement.

Before considering replacment, perform a clean on the printer. Due to variations between mac and pc, please see your documentation / support files on how to perform the clean on your printer.

After performing the clean, again perform the nozzle check to see if the problem is resolved.

If still not resolved, remove and re-install any cartridges you recently replaced to make certain they are installed correctly.

BCI - 15 is not the same as the BCI -16. The look and feel the same, but the ink is handled differently by the printer - so while, in theory you could use them interchangable, the output would be terrible... Canon set it so that you can only use a BCI 16 in an IP90.

Buy a BCI - 16 cart and try that.

Canon pixma ip90 printer is not printing blue colours. i've tried cleaning but it doesn't work.

If the blue ink cartridge is not empty, then it means that either the pront head or the ink cartridge is clogged. Here are some information about ink cartridge cleaning, and here you can find some information about print head cleaning.

My printer Canon iP90 does not print black color. Advise what to do. Thanks.

chances are, the blank cartridge is empty and needs to be replaced. if it is new, make sure the plastic cover is removed from the cartridge, try to remove the ink cartridge and shake it a bit and connect it back, then check your printer settings to verify if it is set to print in blank ink/color.

My canon ip90 printer has new ink and will not print...any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Did Software come with your Printer? If not and you need Drivers go to www.canon.com for driver software support. Also make sure your download of the drivers are for a 32bit or 64bit Operating System of your Windows. There is one more thing you can check.Check to see if you pulled of the small plastic tape that covers a tiny hole on the ink cartridge. If not pull it off the ink cartridge and reinsert the ink catridge.

Canon iP90 only prints blank pages

try first changing the cartridge since this printer has no accurate monitoring on ink content. if after changing the ink it still doesnt work try to perform cleaning. it is usually done by pressing the feed button until the light blinks twice then release it to perform cleaning. or by using the printer driver utility found on the taskbar near the clock on the lower right portion of the computer screen.

Good Day: Although it is a common presumption that alcohol is always a good cleaner, in this case water without soap is the best. Did you say that you changed the cartridge or just the "Ink-Tank"? The cartrisge holds both the color and the black ink tanks. You can actually take the ink tanks out of the cartridge and submerse the cartridge in warm water and find that after you blow dry it gently with a can of aerosol "Dust-Off" that you can reinstall the ink tanks and then reinstall the cartridge in the printer and usually this works fine. Soak time is about 45-90 min and not in hot water only luke-warm water.
