Question about Quantaray 28-200MM F3.8-5.6 Lens for Canon AF
Hello. My question is about the Quantaray Tech 10 75mm-300mm for Nikon. It is a push-pull zoom. My question is: Is there any way on this lens to increase the zoom barrel friction? When I point downwards the zoom slips, and same happens when I point straight up. I know other push-pull lenses have a ring to adjust the zoom friction, in this case I don't see that ring. Since I bought this one used with no instructions, I wonder if I'm missing anything. Thanks!
Slide a piece of paper partway under the ring (make sure you leave enough hanging out so you can remove it later) and see if that tightens the action some.
Another low-tech approach is to push the ring to expose the inner barrel, then attack one or more pieces of Scotch tape or masking tape.
