Continuous beeping noise on boot up

Sounds like you have a bad memory chip or one of the memory slots is bad.

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the battery, Remove the cover that houses the memory on the bottom of the laptop then remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

More than likely it's your memory or video card. Does anything ever post to the screen when you press the power button? If not, it could be the video card is bad.

Maybe your memory is bad or the memory slot is bad.

Cache test failure

One of your devices has failed could be the memory or a device that is externally plugged in if you have any remove them. If you have never worked with laptops before this is the time to take it in for repair or find someone that knows how to fix them. John

Screen not on and alrm sound

Is it a constant alarm? If so you might have a memory problem.

Remove the Power Cord, Remove the screw and the cover that houses the memory and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting. If it is like a 3 alarm or beeps interval, then you might have a video card problem.

Keeps beeping when on

Beeps and blinking lights tell the technician what is wrong with the computer. Count the beeps and the pattern of the beeps (3 long beeps, 1 long beep followed by 2 short beeps, etc).

Most times it's something related to the motherboard such as memory or video card.

Did you see anything post on the screen during the boot process?

Check your memory.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips.

Hp630 no boot

Sounds like a Video Card problem or memory problem.

What is the pattern of the caps lock flashing. Is it 3 long flashes that keep repeating? 1 long flash, 2 short flashes? The flashes tells the technician what is going on with the laptop.

Try seeing if it is memory since that's easy to get to:

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

Laptop Turning On But Nothing Happens - Replaced Memory

This does sound like a memory problem, and it more likely that a memory chip is bad versus the memory slot. The slots will be numbered 1&2, the memory will generally work in either, but the 1 slot is preferred. Try starting with just one chip in, try both slots, then try the other chip. It may just be one chip that is bad. If it is the slot, it shouldn't hurt the chip, but the motherboard will need replaced in order to fix it.
