When greasing drive shaft how many pumps with grease gun?

Pump the grease until you see a small amount coming past the seal.
Should only take about 1 to 3 pumps but if dry may take 5 pumps.

How to load grease in it?

The model 1056S will accept the standard grease cartridge available at any parts store. I have to use a razor blade and cut off the metal pull tab end. Then push the cartridge into the cylinder from the top. The real trick is to guide the rubber seal into the cartridge; it can be done, I load mine this way. Use the little lock to hold off the long plunger, allow just enough to work with inorder to insert rubber seal into cartridge. Only after the rubber is in the cartridge, then screw on the bottom cap. Then release the long plunger rod. You noticed that the plunger rod will rotate out of the rubber seal assembly, rotate it so the rod can be pushed into the cylinder without pushing the rubber seals. The sping will push the rubber seal to ensure grease is mover to the top. Very powerful PSI, do not blow out the rubber cups around the zerk fittings. Good luck

How grease to grease ball joints on a 1998 dodge Dakota sport

You need a grease gun and a tube of grease for your particular vehicle make. You can purchase both at any auto parts store. If you haven't replaced the ball joints since the vehicle was made then you probably wont be able to grease them. Most vehicles come off the line without access. However aftermarket parts have points where you can grease. Take your grease gun and stick the end over the nipple,(sorry can't think of the name for the **** things that you grease into, so Im calling them nipples.) Anyway, pump the gun until grease comes out from the joint and that should do it. Really pretty simple operation provided you have the nipples at the joints already. Hope this helps.

How do you lube fron end of a 2000 LincolnTowncar Executive

You need a grease gun and grease. Locate all grease "zerks" on upper & lower ball joints, tie rod ends, etc.. Clean of dirt & grime build-up off zerks, push grease gun on and give a few pumps, then on to next zerk.

AFTER GREASING BOTH UPPER BALL JOINTS ON 2006 GMC 2500--GREASE SPITS BACK OUT--INITIAL LOOKED TO BE OLD GREASE, I AFTER A COUPLE DAYS WENT TO REGREASE AND NOW THE NEW GREASE SHOOTS BACK OUT.

you don't want to over grease 2or 3 pumps should be good at every oil change but if it isn't taking grease in the zerk a Little tap on top may fix it or you should unscrew it and replace with new

When I reload the Greasegun, it won't pump grease! Doesn't matter if it is an Air Operated Greasegun or a Pump Style! What is the secret to getting out the Air Pockets??????

might try and bleed it like brakes.... take the hose off and put your finger over the hole. pump until you only get grease... just a thought, there is a valve in the end of the hose for clamping onto the zerk fitting... mightnot be enough pressure building up to let the air run through...

Just a thought....

Is there a specific type of grease gun ad grease I

There is really no special grease gun to get. Any type of grease gun will work. I personally use a high temp. grease at the shop I work at. When greasing anything never over grease a joint , it causes a mess and will cause premature failure. All that is needed is three pumps of the grease gun.
