Question about Kitchen Ranges
The link I'm providing provides the necessary steps to replace an element in your oven (if this is the case):
It is common when elements go bad on an electric range to have them trip a breaker such as yours. The element are a resistive coil that can vary in resistance depending on model and manufacturer. If you wish to take a measurement to be sure, first, UNPLUG the range and remove the back panel. The terminals for the BAKE and BROIL elements are visible in the rear, each having different colored wires leading to the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board. The board will have a separate relay for each circuit (one for bake, and one for broil). It is less common for a relay to short out, but it does happen. If this were the case, the element would stay on conterminously. That's why I suspect you element to be the cause of the problem. Disconnect the leads from the BAKE element and perform a meter reading across the terminal connectors of the element on the Rx1 scale. The element should show continuity if good. If it doesn't, replace it. Now, on the same Rx1 scale, take a meter reading with one probe on the terminal and the other on the outer shell of the element. If it shows continuity this time, there is a grounding problem with the element, and it will also require replacement. I hope this leads you in the right direction. Let me know if you require further assistance. Good Luck to you.
PS I appreciate the kind words. You're right, I don't hear it enough. It makes my day when I can help someone and they appreciate the effort.
