Dishwasher leaking. I was supplied a flat seal ring of about 100mm dia., 10mm wide & 1 mm thick for the machine when I bought the house. Water on the floor tells me something underneath is leaking for the first time. The machine is about 10 yr old and in very good order .This seal could be the problem so before I go getting service personel in I'd like to know if replacing this and the door seal are jobs a careful handyman can do ?

I have a large gap to seal btwn tile and tub. Any suggestions?

how big is large ?
if it is over 1/2" but under 1" cut a slice of tile to fill the gap
if under 1/2 inch use a silicon sealer ( no more gaps) to fill the space
to get a smooth finish on the sealer use your finger --wet it in water or suitable applicator that is wet with water
once the desired finish is achieved , let it dry and it becomes water resistant

Water leaking from reservoir

I had the same problem. All of a sudden my kitchen top counter got filled with water. The water was leaking from the Nespresso C190 water resevoir at the bottom. Exactly where the reservoir meets the coffee machine base. I had by chance an "O" rubber ring left from a faucet which I inserted at the base of the water rervoir right on the small **** which when it sits on the C190 base lets a valve open in order the water to flow through. The "O" ring was 2 to 3 mm in diameter and about 1 mm thick, You might experiment with different ones until you solve your problem.

Lescha Hobby 125 S electric mixer requires new drum main bearing

I had a similar problem on a Lescha Hobby Mix 120 SF. (Sounds similar to yours) The failure seems to have been caused by corrosion of the ball bearings. If you get water into the rear bearing housing when it is operating, and then store the mixer with the opening in the drum downwards, the water collects around one of the bearings. The bearings are a standard size ball bearing with a 62mm outside dia, 30mm bore and 16mm wide. I bought the sealed version from a local bearing supplier (or look one up on the Internet). The original ones fitted are unsealed, which is part of the problem. I also bought two new bearing retaining external circlips for a 30mm shaft. I had a paint round inside the housing with hammerite, and drilled some 10mm dia drain holes around the outside of the housing near the bolting flange. I also store the mixer with the drum horizontal now.

Water leaks out on the floor from the front left of the machine, not every time though. what's the most likely place to check? intake hose? drain hose? door edge?

Hello there:
If your dishwasher leaks, check these: Main tub seal Note... If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly. Lower rack Spray arm Spray arm support
Wash/drain impellers Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it. Door gasket or seal Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak. Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary. The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve. Hoses Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Leaking dishwasher

If your dishwasher leaks, check these:Main tub seal
Door gasket or seal
Water-inlet valve
Hoses

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

1. Lower rack
2. Spray arm
3. Spray arm support
4. Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.
