You need to oil the fan with special computer oil and than put it back together or take it to someone who can do it for you if you dont feel comfitable in fixing it yourself.

Make sure you have the latest version of Yahoo mail
Try switching to Basic Mail in settings
If you are able to login to Yahoo services then you are logged into email services your username and password is the same for email as well. Sounds to me like it is a Yahoo matter if you can login to your services and not email, maybe on their server check with their support pages and go from there. It's an ongoing problem Yahoo are working on. There is an excellent thread with a lot of information on the subject on the forum. Many people have put various things to try but it is a Yahoo fault not our computers.Yahoo staff have commented on this thread

Please first of all find if any other yahoo ID works on your computer? if it works the problem is with your ID just send a request to yahoo help. pl forward same mail to me too (pl dont reveal your pasword), I will help it out.
if other IDs are also not working, check browser settings, its IP address (take the help of your internet service provider for correct IP settings(if you are using proxy, pl take help of your system admin). Onece browser start working, set messenger to no proxy or appropriate setting. messenger --> preferences --> Connection --> proxy settings
In some of the messenger versions "take setting from browser is also available" if available, its the best.

If you are using your organisation's networked computer, pl check with the network administrator, that he has not blocked the yahoo.com site.
if you are using non-networked computer, pl check its not incuded in restricted site, alternatively include yahoo.com & mail.yahoo.com in your trusted sites.
If this not works, contat your internet service provider.
