Probably a power supply - if you open the back of the tv (if you have electronic experience) find the power supply look for bulged capacitors and replace them.

power supply unit problem you have bad caps (capacitors) change all the caps or at least the ones that are leaking how do you see if they bad usually they are bold on the top instead of flat. change it with a higher voltage but the same UF. if it shows 10V-1000uf you change to 16V-1000uf or if it fits a 25V-1000uf.

Take the Battery out.
Place it back in.
Press and hold the Vol down : Home : Power buttons simultaneously for 10 sec.
Using the volume buttons navigate to the reset to factory settings option.
press select (left of home on L55C).
Confirm to reset.
Select to reboot.
You should be good.

PLTV3250 have a blue screen and wouldn't power on. power button wouldn't respond to touch.

Can you please clarify the BLUE screen, but since the TV will not turn on, how do you get blue screen?
This model is known to have bad power supply module.
Check the power supply; look for bad caps with leaking/bulging tops, check to see if you have standby +5vdc at the power supply connector, the front red indicator will not be on if you do not have this +5vdc standby voltage due to shorted out Q7 and ZD4.

Protron pltv no tv signal

Unplug it for about an hour to see if it will reset itself first. This TV is known to have power supply problem, but yours has 5vdc standby working because the red light on the front is on, and the screen is also lited up blue. The problem can be the processor in the main board and will need more troubleshooting if that is the case.

Invalid mode is on a blue VGA input screen with laptop plugged in, why?

It is becuase your PC video resoliton is too high for this TV to display, max resolution for the PLTV3250 is 1366 x 768 @ 60 Hz.
Also watch out for this TV power supply to go out due to bad caps and it will take out the transistor and Diode with it.

From $60 and up.
First make sure it does have at least red indicator on the front panel, if not, the standby +5vdc is not working, coomon problem with this monitor is dead power supply due to bad caps, shorted transistor and Zener Diode in the standby power supply.

Spectronic PLTV-3250. Power light won't come on. When you touch buttons on the touch screen, all you get is a flashing blue light.Checked outlet and power cord. They all seem fine.

Check the caps in the power supply first. You may have failed inverter bd also.

Does the blue screen have a "no signal" in the middle? If that is the case, you have it on the wrong component (av1, av2) or something isnt connected right

do you get audio but no video? if the blue light is not glowing on the power supply.... its gone bad... the vents tend to clog with dust, overheat and burn out In 2 1/2 years I've gone thru 2 of them
