Hi , I need a couple suggestions. One of my pull out 'feet' on one side of my keyboard broke off.. and now I'm trying to balance my keyboard. Any suggestions as to what I could put underneath it? Would a part of a mouse pad work? or what else?

Anything that fits. Try using a sheet of paper folded multiple times to the size you need. Roll it up with cello tape and tape it to the back of your keyboard.

Out of balance washing machine

Hi, your question does not give me any hints so I will try to give you some general tips. If you wash things that can not spread out evenly inside the drum, like mats pillows etc. Disable the high spin and drip dry you items or squeeze out the water by hand.
If the drum swings from side to side when rotating, one of the shock-absorbers inside the machine may be worn out, broke or loose.
If you open the lid, grab the drum and move it a bit back and forth and side to side (not rotating) it should not swing easily but with a damped resistance when the absorbers are ok.
An other experience I have made is the balancing of the feet. I had a new machine that alway moved around during the high spin, even thou I have made an extra flat surface for it to stand on. I could recognize a bumping noise from the feet.
When I pressed down the left or the right front corner with my hand a little, the bumping stopped. Then I adjusted the corresponding foot down and fine tuned it until the bumping disappeared while spinning.
Since then my machine has not moved an other mm (= 1/25").
So equal down force from the feet and no play under any of them is essential to deep it from moving around.
Hope this can help you too.

How to level

Usual is by front feet, turn them up or down. I tend to have the unit lie back slightly, gives a better door seal. only6 by a couple of degrees, but does help. IF not enough adjustment from feet, I use plastic blocks to raise it up at whichever corner or side needs it

Hi, Our church has a brand new all refrigerator unit. The door suction is REALLY strong so that you have to put one hand on the frame to pull the door open. This tends to move the unit since it is so...

Check to see if you have "feet" on the front side of the fridge. these feet, if present, can be unscrewed which lowers them to prevent the appliance from moving. Do not, and I mean do not do anything that would seem to make the doors open easier, or to loosen them, as this will most definitely affect its cooling performance.

If there are no balancing feet, I would go to the hardware store, and get a couple of floor protectors, like for putting underneath the couch to protect the carpeting.

The feet broke that holds the keyboard up, where i can i purchase new feet?

Suggest anyone who has this problem pick up a pair of 'laptop legs'. They're designed to prop up laptops to improve cooling, but they do the trick.

During the rinse cycle, my washing machines shakes violently from side to side (It just started doing this a couple weeks ago). Is it off track, and is this issue self-repairable?

If this is a Kenmore top loader, it could simply be off level. The rear feet on these washer have an auto-leveling mechanism that you can easily reset yourself. Just follow these steps:

1. With the wash tub empty, open the washer lid and grasp the rim of the tub opening (do not grab the tub).

2. Now place one of your feet at the base of the washer along the front of the washer to keep it from moving.

3. Now pull the washer towards you so the rear feet lift off the floor. You should hear a clicking sound as the rear feet auto-level.

4. Carefully set the washer back down (do not slam it) and the rear of the washer should now be level.

Using a level, check the washer front to back and side to side to make sure it is level in all directions.

If you need to adjust the washer washer front feet, carefully lift the front of the washer and turn the feet to either adjust them up or down. The slightest difference can cause excessive vibration on the final spin. Check by placing your hands at opposite corners on top of the washer (diagonally - one on the rear, one on the front) and try rocking the washer to see if it moves. If the washer wobbles, you need to readjust.

I suspect that auto-leveling the rear feet will take care of the problem, since this just recently started happening. This needs to checked from time to time.

If you still have problems after checking the level of the washer, please post back and let me know. The problem could also be related to a balance spring issues. I hope this helps you.

Microsoft 4000 Ergonomic keyboard - broken foot

they don't really make replacement parts for these, its not profitable just a small piece of plastic, you would have to create your own from metal or similiar, or use the keyboard without the feet, or replace the whole keyboard.
