Cursor erratic on win 8.1 toshiba satellite laptop

So your mouse cursor is jumping back and forth on the screen? If that is the issue, are you using a mouse pad? If not try using a mouse pad, or if you do not have one try using a book that isn't too glossy on the cover. Just use any surface that isn't glossy or glass. Sometimes even rough surfaces affect the mouse laser. You should also try checking the bottom of the mouse to see if there is any trash or build up in front of the laser or optical sensor. If there is, then use a lightly damp Q-tip to clean it. A microfiber cloth works well for this too, and is better to use to dry it with.

Logitech wireless laser mouse not working my computer

If your computer has Windows XP or later your computer should automatically install generic drivers for it so that it works. So if that's the case and it still doesn't work then try changing the battery in the mouse, or plug the wireless adapter for the mouse in a different USB port.

My usb for my mouse in malfunctioning

To me it seems that the power on button on the mouse is faulty. Check it on another PC. If it works 100% then plug it in a different USB port on your laptop. If the problem persists then the USB on your laptop has to be taken care of.

My toshiba laser laptop mouse is broken right now. It is a mini retractable laser mouse. The laser is normally red but it is not turned on now.

that sounds like a bad cable connection from the electronics in the mouse to the main-board. That would most likely have to be repaired at Toshiba.

Mouse not working.

Is the mouse optical, laser, or trackball?
Wired or wireless?
Bluetooth or USB?
Problems with mice are typically as follows:
1. Dirty (trackball) 2. Bad signal (depends on type) 3. Short in wire (wired only) 4. Sensor obstruction (optical and laser) 5. Bad drivers (you seem to have covered this one) 6. Being used on non-reflective service (laser, optical) -- try using a pad
