Z550i switching off with battery in

My Z550i has just started to switch off immediately it is turned on. It will work happily with the charger plugged in, so I thought it might be the battery and tried another - same problem. I also found that it stays on without the SIM installed, albeit the only thing it will let me do is an emergency call.

I've also tried using another SIM from the same service provider. THis has happened only just recently. It has worked a couple of times for a few hours or days after repeatedly switching it on (of course I don't have to switch it off :-( ), but will eventually start to display the same symptoms and seems to be getting progressively worse.

I'm in Australia

Any ideas?

I am using sony ericsson z550i it is not getting charge can u plzzz give me a solution

Dear,
first of all try cleaning the pins of your charger and mobile charging socket with petrol or kerosine oil.
then see if it works,
if still the problem persist, then their may be the fault in your charger or mobile charging socket. Or electric socket where you put your charger for charging!
try charging your mobile by putting your charger in different switch board, if still it wont work, then try charging your mobile with different charger, if your mobile is getting charge, then get sure that problem is in your charger,
its time to buy a new charger.
original charges cost=900
duplicate charges cost=100

regards!

I have a dell inspiron 1545. i have the charger plugged in but a red light is flashin on my laptop. this light then turns white and immediately red again.if i remove the charger the laptop just switches...

Probably battery, although that should be orange not red..
Remove battery and try it on AC alone, if that works, it was a damaged battery halting the process
If it does not, check the charger's tightness in the charging port, if sloppy or loose, this will need replacing.

Some Dell's are VERY picky about the charger, if not the exact model specified, they will not charge the battery

If none of the above, remove battery and test with another Dell charger of the same spec, if this also fails to work and you are sure the light is red, you have a problem with the motherboard. Commonly the charger power board fails on these.

take the battery out and try powering on your computer only with the power cord plugged in
if the computer turns on then
this is the problem with the battery
you need to replace the battery
Thank you

Switchs off automatically.

Hi,
First thing need to do is to check your battery. Plug in your charger and turn On your phone to observe your battery. A wear down battery will keep the phone turned on for a while then immediately off.

My tomtom will not turn on. I have had it plugged into the car charger for several hours. Help?

try a reset first, i will assume you cant do this, get a clip or pin switch off the unit and remove the sd card, then push the tool into the small reset hole underneath and hold for 15 seconds, then turn your unit back on and replace the sd card, it should then work if not it could be the battery has worn out as they are attached to the charger all the time when driving, hope this helps
