When i turn on my xbox 360 the on switch is turning red

This happens to all xbox 360 owners,there is an easy way to get it fixed at home with out having it repaired. Get 2 Q-tips stick it on the back of the xbox where all the holes are. The Q-tips block the fans,this causes to make the xbox hot. Wait a few minutes and you'll see two red rings. When you see them take out the Q-tips and turn off the console and then turn it back on. It will work. If not then try to shake it or hit it lightly on the side.

It sounds like a Red Ring of Death, which basically means there's something wrong with the unit. There are many reasons why you can get an RRoD, but it's usually hardware related. Even if your 360 is out of warrant they may still cover repairs for red ring errors.

This is considered the "Red Ring of Death". If your Xbox is under warranty call Microsoft and see what options are available to you to get that repaired. Even if it is not under warranty, still call Xbox. They can give you a list of local repair facilities.
