Make sure you plug the 1/8 connector to the Green port on the sound card or on the system board in the rear. If this is a laptop connection the one with the headphone jack will do it. Now if you don't hear sound then the sound driver might be disable or not installed. You just need to go to where your system was made by to fix that problem. Just download the correct sound card using the make and model number.

SOURCE: No sound coming out of speakers green light on speakers is on

The BA 735 Speakers I have are purely digital and will only work if your soundcard has a digital output, will not work through the normal analogue green socket .

Have no sound speakers green light is off

The green light represents that the unit is receiving power, if the light is off then the unit is not receiving power. Check the power plug. Check the power switch on the speakers. You may need to push in a knob.

Take care!

Dell a215 computer speakers can't get sound but the green power light is on

Well i sometimes go through alot of troubleshooting just to find its the most simple thing in the end.

Start at the source. Check if the green audio cable is plugged into the correct audio jack on the pc. Colours match up. (green with green)
And if that doest work check that the Pc isnt on mute.

To check this, there is a icon of a speaker on the task bar on the bottom right of the screen.

And if all this has been done and u still have no sound, plugg the speakers into a ipod or a similar device to see that the speakers actually do work. turn the volume up and down as well.

Hope this helps :)

Speakers and controls are working but sound barely comes out.

Check the back of the computer. Typically this caused when the connection is loose or the speakers are plugged in to the wrong jack. The correct jack on a Dell is usually a light green color. The Microphone is pink, etc.

Where do I plug the speaker in?

Please be more specific - Usually on the back of any computer you have 3 outlets at your sound card:

one is for "mic" (pink)
one is for "speaker" (green)
one is for "line in" (blue)

Can not get sound. speakers are pulged in

check that the sound is not muted
ensure speakers are plugged into the green socket
you may need to re install the driver for the sound card,or sound chip on motherboard, if so search on google with something like this sound driver for "insert sound card brand & model, or motherboard here).

good luck
