Hello - My Whispaire was running the other night (light and fan) when the fan just stopped running. The lights still work. I checked the wiring per instructions but still didn't do it. Any suggestions?

FAN AND LIGHT DOES NOT WORK my
zephyr typhoon stopped working. Neither light not the fan come up. I am
sure there is power going into the unit. I turned on the light one day
, the light cam on and suddenly went away. From then even the fan
stopped working. any information on what happened is appreciated.
Extremely likely the fan motor. get to it then , after removing fan blade, plug it in directly to a 110v outlet ,just for a second to see if it works well( don;t touch it while prefoming this test, only the plug), or jumper out the switch(with electric disconnected) momentairly to see if the fan runs after turning the electric back on.
We have the same product, 18 months in use and the very noisy motor has finally seized up. I contacted the manufacturer and was advised that I need a new motor, motor mounting bracket and fan rotor. The agent was not able to quote me a price for the parts but stated that even though my 1-year warranty had expired, if I faxed them a copy of the original sales reciept they could possibly send me the parts for free under the original warranty agreement. I've done as they asked but haven't received a reply as yet. After reading about all the problems with this product I'm tempted to dump the whole unit and try to find another manufacturer that has a reliable and QUIET range hood.
Replace Fan Motor
Product Label Says Not To Lubricate Bearings Because they
are permanently Lubricated. However, the bearing are actually gimbal mounted and held in place by a Flimsy Retaining Plate.
Lubrication will only evaporate under oven use due to the rising Heat.
