How to replace Toshiba Bluetooth Stack on Microsoft

Bluetooth is named after 12th century Danish King Harald Blatand ("Bluetooth"), whose reign unified the Danes and Norwegians. Bluetooth technology "unites" the wireless devices over short to medium distances, so that your cell phone ring tones from your PC without a cable or you can call with a wireless headset. Some computers have their own Bluetooth driver, or stack, pre-installed. This pile of others changes the generic driver from Microsoft that need to connect some devices.

1. Disconnect all devices, the computer by turning it off or unplug it from your PC.

2. Click "Start" then "Control Panel" and "Add / Remove Programs". Search for "Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba", click the Remove button and click "Yes" to confirm.

3. Restore access to Control Panel and click on "System (Performance and Maintenance)." Select the "Hardware" tab and click "Device Manager". Click the "+" sign next to "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" to expand. When "Motion Computing USB Bluetooth Adapter" from the list, right click and select "Uninstall."

4. Click "Start" and "Run." Type "% windir% \ inf" in the "Open" and click "OK". Check if a file "Bth.bak" or "Bth.inf.old" exists. If none are listed, go to Step 5. It works for most (but not all) bluetooth adapters, both USB dongles and built-in. (See the list of bluetooth devices and hardware IDs known to work. Note that this list is not exhaustive.)

hope this will help you

Acer Extensa 5630EZ no Bluetooth device

Ansolutely! The slider is there on most of the models but when they are ordered it will depend on whether that addition was paid for before the module is added. If the advertisment you saw stated bluetooth and you think you should have bluetooth as pewr the advertisment I would be claiming misleading advertising. State that you wre lead to believ it had blootooth intsalled as it was ointed out at the time of sale.. Ne firm, they love to wiggle out of responisble sales and advertising. Maybe you misread the name? wasn't it SCAM?

I have Aspire 4730Z acer laptop. but can't install blue tooth. when going to install driver from utility CD showing no device found. let me clear how can I resolve the problem

Method 1: Rename the Bth.inf file loadTOCNode(2, 'workaround'); Rename the %WINDIR%\inf\Bth.inf file to Bth.bak before you install or reinstall the third-party device or stack. When you rename the file, you prevent Windows Plug and Play PNP from using that INF file to install the Bluetooth driver that is included with Windows XP SP2. To rename the file, follow these steps:
 1. Click Start, click Run, type %windir%\inf in the Open box, and then click OK.
 2. Right-click Bth.inf, and then click Rename.
 3. Rename Bth.inf to Bth.bak, and then press ENTER.
 4. Install the third-party Bluetooth driver.

Method 2: Update the Bluetooth driver in Device Manager loadTOCNode(2, 'workaround'); To replace the Windows XP SP2 installation of the Bluetooth stack, update the driver in Device Manager. When you do this, specify your third-party driver. To update the driver in Device Manager, follow these steps:
 1. Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
 2. Locate the device.
 3. Right-click the device, and then click Update Driver.
 4. Follow the steps that appear on the screen in the Hardware Update Wizard to specify your third-party driver for the Bluetooth device.

Trying to install bluetooth on a G50VT Asus laptop vista64MB

Try using the generic bluetooth installer from Microsoft.

Look for bth.inf on Web. (just type it in Google).

Download it to your hard drive. Insert bluetooth equipment.

When hardware wizard appears browse to the downloaded file and that should install it.
