Since it works with other systems there is a system incompatibility issue. Are you using the same OS in this machine as in the others where it works? Could it be that?

Using XP? It has some issues with some usb devices.

instead of deleting the files its better you format the pen drive. Formatting can be done by > my computer-> right click on pen drive> format >start.

just format your laptop my dear and then use it.......
your laptop may be afffected by virus....

Right click my computer and click on manage. In disk management try to reformat as another solution for your usb storage drive. Try another usb port on your computer as well when you reinsert it and restart the computer. Usually when a usb device turns off and doesn't show up like yours did the device could be faulty or the usb port you have it connected to or for laptops sometimes the usb ports turn off if only using battery instead of ac adapter. There are power save modes for usb ports so have to check that in device manager as well. Good luck!

y need to down load a programe called unibootin follow the instructions job done.

Have you tried a next pc to see if it will read the flashdrive?

if it does this in another computer also, then it;s just dead. if it's new you could take it back to the store and return it.

Go to Disk Utilities and reformat the pen drive. That might do the trick.

You can try using another usb port, or it might be that other things conncected to the usb are interfering with it. Try disconnecting things attatched to other usb ports (check in the back of the computer) but be sure that they're not important before you go ripping out cords.
