Emachine failure. no recovery disc.

How can i download and make a recovery disc for our emachineT3504? Our Emachine is down and all we have is our compaq laptop computer to work with. nobody has a set of recovery disc for this machine.

Just go to www.newegg.com and purchase an OEM copy of Windows XP for 99 bucks. thats your best bet. Or you may have a recovery partition on that desktop...if you press f11 when you turn it on it may let you recover from that. good luck

Some computers will have a recovery partition you can recover from it will prompt you as the computer is booting. Emachines are very low end computers and don't typically have a recovery partition. If you didn't create the recovery disc you will need to order it from Gateway's website as they own emachine.You can order recovery media from https://secure.tx.acer.com/RCDB/Main.aspx?brand=emachines

I have a emachine desktop W3115. It lost the network adapter and does not recognize the internet. I bought a OPERATING SYSTEM DISC Dual Core Windows XP Media Center Edition but that did not fix the network...


If you still have the original eMachine software as your desktop, go to Start > system Recovery > Create my Drivers and Application CD disk.

This will create a CD that will contaon all the drivers for your eMachine.

yes windows xp potable CD will solve it but select boot from CD ROM rather boot from floppy disk or you can use windows xp on bootable flash memory or you can restore your windows it might work

As the computer is only 2 months old, you should be able to contact Emachines and have
them send you a recovery disc out for the particular model. As the computer may seem identical, in most cases a recovery disc from your computer will not work because of a different
driver or some other small issue.

Angel repeatedly asks for discs to do a system recover


Are you the original owner? If you did not make a set of recovery discs, you may have to go to emachines and order them. They are about $20. I recently refurbished an emachine and that is what we had to do.
You will need the model number and serial number. They cannot download it to you either.

Restore discs


put the first CD in the Tray, then shut down the computer. Next boot up, and press F9 or whichever option is system recovery. Now select recover form CD. This should work, otherwise it will automatically, start the recovery on boot up.
