Here is how to perform system restore
Through Help and Support:
1.Click Start, and then click Help and Support.

2.Under Pick a Task, click Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.

3.Follow the instructions on the wizard.

Through the All Programs menu:
1. Click Start.

2. Point to All Programs.

3. Point to Accessories.

4. Point to System Tools.

5. Click System Restore.

6. Follow the instructions on the wizard.

Creating a restore point can be useful any time you anticipate making changes to your computer that are risky or might make your computer unstable. If something goes wrong, you select the restore point you just created and Windows XP undoes any system changes made since that time.

hope you get this working

It sounds like it is very infected.
The reason they told you to ask for a system restore disk is because you are going to have to format and reload your operating system, and any other programs that are loaded.

If you are the original purchaser of the computer, you should have the Gateway disks. If not, you will have to purchase a copy of Windows and any other programs you have installed.

To get more details on the procedure tell us if you use Windows XP, Windows Vista or a different system.
System restore can solve some problem, but it won't necessarily get rid of spyware and viruses.
    What Windows do you have?

Being told by you guys i have 4 problems.

Tom, don't know what's goin' on bro, so fill me in.

Looked at your account, and through the 5 problems you have stated now;
{You can view anyone's account Tim. Just click on their avatar image}

1) McAfee technical support is not working properly
2) McAfee not found on system

Tim, I would kick McAfee to the curb. Same as I would Norton.
Both are a piece of junk.

!O_O!

To back up my statement, just look through the internet.
I'm stating from my own experience, Experience of being on here, and another website (8 yrs), my personal experience, AND the internet postings.
[Problems with Norton {Version}
Problems with McAfee ]

The good stuff you hear/read is PR based, or those who really don't have a clue.
(I've even had a Norton rep who agreed once, lol!)

Use Malwarebytes, and AVG. Use the free version of Malwarebytes from CNET. Also free version of AVG.
Also suggest you use CCleaner, a free registry cleaner, and I can guide you in downloading, installing, and using.

A) 4 and 5 > WHO, is telling you this?

B) Problem heading - Dell Inspiron 560S (<- S )
Problem comment - Being told computer is in poor shape
Added Comment - Win 7 Premium 64-bit operating system

WHO told you it's in poor shape?
What is in poor shape on it, or what were the actual statements to you?

Let you and I figure this out. Post back in a Comment. Type everything you want. Use two Comments if you need to, or use 3.

Can't use either Microsoft Live Mail or Lookout Express v6 with Belkin Router. Can't send or receive email Can you tell me what the email setup is for either one? Both email programs probably use the same...

Ask COMCAST for the names of their POP-server and of their MAIL-server, and configure Outlook Express to use those names.

Microsoft Live Mail is "web-based" -- all you need to do is to web-surf to their web-site, login, and click "send/receive" or click "compose" and later "send".

You might want to print this out:

1) Turn off your laptop.

2) Press the "on" button on your laptop, and *immediately* start tapping on the F8 key on your keyboard. This should bring up a black screen with white text on it.

NOTE: You may get a message saying "keyboard error, press F1 to continue." If this happens, press F1 and then keep tapping on the F8 key.

NOTE: If the Windows screen comes up, turn off the computer and try again until you get to a black screen with different startup choices on it.

3) Once you have reached the startup choices screen, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to highlight "safe mode." Press the Enter key. If you are asked to choose your operating system, just press Enter again.

This will start a lot of text scrolling on your screen. Just be patient. When it stops, you will see a login screen. Log in under your name (sometimes this is "owner").

4) You will now be logged in to you computer in Safe Mode. A message will pop up asking if you want to use Safe Mode or System Restore. Click on System Restore.

5) You should now have the option to undo your last System Restore. Choose this option and follow the instructions on your screen to get back to where you were before you tried to restore your laptop.

If you need further help after that, please reply with the name and model number of your laptop. For example, "Dell Inspiron 530," or "Compaq Presario 3000." Also let me know what version of Windows you are using, for example "XP" or "Vista."

if you are using windows, restore the system back to before you installed AOL,you can do this by
  • go to start button/all programs/acceseries/ system tools/system restore.
  • ensure "restore my computer to an earlier time" is selected,if not click on it
  • press next
  • you will have the opportunity to select what month & day to restore back to (only the bolded dates are available)
  • press next
  • and it will do what ever it needs to do.
  • it will reboot itself
  • should finish saying it was successfullly restored,if not
  • pick another date ,and do the same as above
  • then try again with Volexprees.
hope this helps you
