There are two saftey switches. one on the air input, and one on the air output. someting has to be covering each. USE the SAFTEY CUP on the input and the Hose on the OUTPUT. does that answer your questions 4n4l <unt?

Kirby ultimste g series green light?

that means its working properly. If you have no suction then it is usually the belt and or the bag. so make sure your bag is not full , make sure everything is attatched properly and the green light is on.... The Kirby is the best vac out there and little suction should never be a issue for us.. I am a proud owner of the sentria..Love it..

How do you attach the upholstry attachment to your hoover steamvac

The hose hooks into the dirt bucket on the front where a clear plastic block sets. Put the hose in that slot and then hook the tube for the water at the top of the hood.

Won't **** the water back up, what is wrong?

Hello,
Either the height adjustment isn't on the lowest setting or the belt isn't on properly so that the brushroll will spin. Here is a guide to tell you how to properly get the belt connected. It is written for the main power nozzle, but should give you the basics because the shampooer head works the same way as far as the belt hook-up is concerned...

Shampoo attachment

Hi!
You need to take the power nozzle off and attach the thing that looks like a little plastic cup with two hooks on it. This is the intake guard. Attach it to the front. Now remove the cloth bag and put the hose on the hole where the bag was. You'll have to line the arrow on the hose up with the notch on the Kirby and push the hose arm toward the Kirby until it pops on. If you need to, lube up the edges of the hole with a wee bit of vaseline or hand lotion. This makes the hose engage easier. Now, put the shampoo gun on the end of the hose and you're ready to go.

Upholstry set up for ultimate g kirby.

Remove the entire cloth bag assembly and put the hose on the side where the bag came from. Remove the power nozzle and put the intake guard onto the front. (this is in your attachment set...the only one with little hooks that sit on the bar in front) You can change from the long handle to the short if you'd like also. You get the handles off by pushing the "seatbelt button" located at the rear bottom of the handle and pulling the handle straight up and out. Now, put your spray gun on the hose. Don't forget the little suds nozzle that goes on the end of the spray gun. I like to use a half and half solution of Kirby shampoo and water in the gun. It makes a nice dry foam that only wets the surface of the furniture. If you use more water, it takes longer to dry.

Check to make sure that the hose hasn't cracked, where it hooks up near the motor. If so, replace the hose.

Kirby Ultimate G Series

Ok, I will try to explain this as well as I can. Please bear with me. Remove the dust bag, cover and all, from the machine. Attatch the shampoo tank to the part where the dust bag attatched on the machine (not on the handle). Remove all attatchments from the front of the machine, and attatch the shampoo foam "collector", ensuring that the belt is over the drive. Connect the small hose between the tank and the foam collector. Mix the water and shampoo as directed on the bottle, in the tank. Turn the knob on the top of the tank to on, then start the machine. I run the foam over about three sections, and then turn the knob back to off, lower the collector, and run back over it to pick up all the foam and dirt. I hope some of that makes sense.
