Question about Whirlpool LSR5132PQ Top Load Washer
My washer wont spin, it makes all the right sounds like its supposed to but it wont spin the clothes out. I need to know what I can check or change to fix the problem

There is a coupler between the motor and the transmission.When it starts to wear it will exhibit an intermittent spin and ultimately will stop altogether.
First unplug your machine.
Behind the top control panel near where it meets the top of the machine there is a philips (cross) screw on either side near the edge. Loosen this screw on either side and the control panel will slide slightly forward the flip up and back.
Under the control panel on either side is a large gold or silver spring clip. Insert a large screwdriver on the downward hook end on the lid side of the clip and lever the screwdriver backwards. this will unhook the spring clip and it can be removed. there will also be a 3 prong power connection under the control panel on the top panel that needs to be disconnected. Some machines have a large wiring coupler that should also be disconnected.
With both clips removed you will need to stand in front of the machine. If you grip just inside of the opening in the top, the whole cabinet will tilt forward to about a 45 degree angle and pulled completely away from the machine.
With the cover off you can see the white (or off white) pump in the middle at front lower portion of the machine. There are 2 spring clips which attach the pump to the motor (do not disconnect the hoses). These clips spring out of the way with a gentle levering of a screwdriver. Pull the pump slightly forward then tuck it off to the side.
You will now see the motor. There will be 2 spring clips that hold this motor to the frame. There may be 2 screws securing the clips onto the motor, remove these and gently lever the spring clips off. The motor should fall away from the frame.
The motor coupler consists of 3 parts One part attaches to the motor shaft and is white in colour there will be a rubber disk and another white part attached to the transmission shaft. This entire coupler assembly will have to be replaced(all 3 parts). The white parts can be pried off with a screwdriver.
Reassembly is the reverse of the disassembly.
