Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-40S2000 40 in. LCD HDTV
The TV develops a low voltage which a simple microprocessor uses to turn the power supply on when you use the remote or TV power button. Sometimes sets will show a red power light when the TV is in stand-by mode which turns green when it turns on. If you don't have that and don't hear a click when you first plug in the TV, you probably have a power supply problem. If you had a power surge, it could have blown the AC fuse. Try replacing it with the exact same rated fuse and you might get lucky. If it blows again, it will need service.
