This cable hooks up to a GPS reciever. so that the DSC function will handle automatic distress calls on channel 70 giving both your longitude and latitude to USCG. Continue your reading on pages 16 and 17 of your service manual.

Looking for schematic for uniden bearcat bc895xlt scanner

Hi Dave,

You could try the Uniden web site or if you've done so without joy, try this: join yahoo group specific to your radio brand and model, they will give you all the info plus, free dowloadable manual and other goodies.

I hope this helps.

I have uniden solara dsc and i live in new zealand, can you tell me what the emergancy channel and the weather channel are and should unit be set on usa or internation.cant hear anyone on any channels and...

if you are in new zealand you will probably want the intl. setting. this usually determines a difference in available frequecies. some would be useless in certain areas. the link has the proper frequencies for what you're looking for.

I cannot send, only recieve

Based on your description, possibly a microphone problem. Either that or a wire is cut/open in the microphone cable. Remote possibility is the FM modulator circuitry internal to the marine radio.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
