The advice I give to most peolple in this situation is to buy a new phone, because most of the time when a phone drop the circuit board gets damage, and repairs can be very expensive.also even when the phone is repaired,it usually doesn't work for too long after.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate problem. But water tend to damage the circuits. Get a new handset. Problems will continue even after repairing. Its a waste of time and money.

My htc hero is recognizing every wireless network except the one in my home. My 2 laptops and old phones are able to read the but my htc hero cant.

Make sure your network isn't hidden. Also, what mode is your networking running in? 802.11 (a,b,g,n). Trying putting it in mode b and see if you phone picks it up. Also, make sure that you haven't limited access to your wireless access point/router.

When opening certain messenger applications, it says no network coverage

Take your phone to your cell phone provider and discuss the problem. Your phone is not picking up the proper signal coverage that it should and is saying "No Network Access." This can only be solved by your cell phone provider.
