I have a hp Officejet 6310 AiO and a Mac. Problems with Scanning Image Properties

Hello, Hopefully you can help!  I primarily use my 6310 OfficeJet for scanning documents.  When I scan, the Dimensions default to 8.5 x 11.69.  I am unable to change the dimension to default to 8.5 x 11 not to mention change them just for 1 job.  Please help, I am stuck!

Yes it is run through Mac. I am providing a quick screen shot. Not sure if that will help.

    Thanks

The screen shot didn't turn out. If you put this into preview mode, can you select the area you want to scan?

When you are scanning this is this being controlled be the Mac when you are doing it?

You can preview a scan and adjust to whatever size you need by moving the dotted lines around the scanned image. Once that is determined you can rescan the doucument with the revised settings.

I need a HP OfficeJet K80 printer driver for my Mac Notebook.

Unfortunately, you are correct. There is no supported driver for that printer. If you are primarily using a mac, I suggest getting a new printer that has supported drivers. I can suggest the Cannon 620 All in one. It has Mac supported drivers for both printer and scanning. I did much research and this is the most popular printer for Mac users.

You need the full-featured printer software to enable the scanning features on your OfficeJet. You may download the software from HP: (choose your operating system)

Installer Option Plug In will not load for HP Officejet 6310

Hey Rich,

Here is the latest updated driverpack for the 6310:
http://nitromovie.net/download/HP-OfficeJet-6310-driver-c3320.exe

Try installing that instead..

Or if you want to persevere with your disk, I suggest maybe right clicking on the installation .exe file, when you explore the disk, and clicking properties and running the program with admin privileges.. it might seem that you, in fact, ARE the administrator but Vista has the annoying User Access Control feature that has caused me problems in the past. User Access Control is only useful in an office, I have mine turned off. You can do this in Control Panel, User Accounts...
Anyway, I would probably suggest that latest driverpack download.

Hope you get sorted :)
Season's Greetings!
