Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

1 Answer

Why does my Xbox 360 lose connection all the time ?

It always lasts for at least three minutes. And then it starts to lag, and then it says Connection Interrupted with a picture of a Ethernet cable getting pulled out of the router. Please, tell me what i should do.

Your ethernet cable and/or router isn't well connected and possibly it is barely hanging in the router. Push the cable into the router and tape it in place with electrical tape

Xbox 360 slim offline lag

Hi dinobots,

Do you use Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable? If you are experiencing severe lag, it could be a problem with your actual internet connection and not necessarily your XBox 360.

I would purchase an ethernet cable (they run about $10 over here in the states) and try that out before anything else

Im having trouble connecting to xbox live. Everything works fine when my sister's are NOT on their laptops. However, as soon as they start browsing the internet, I experience lag (although my connection...

Sounds like there is an issue with bandwidth on your internet connection. Either you have a lot of sisters using your bandwidth, your ADSL connection is on the slow side, or both. Your Xbox isn't getting the bandwidth it requires to operate smoothly.

There are ways to configure your router to allocate bandwidth to connected devices in proportions that you set. You could have 70% and they have 30%.

Also check that they're not watching streaming video or downloading stuff at the same time you play. Alternatively just hide their laptops. :)

Xbox 360 live on wireless router

In theory you should be able to "share" your internet connection. I use a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router and I have a Linksys Game adapter on my son's 360. He has not complained about lag or slow server times unless other intensive bandwidth is being used.

Speed

no not really, but 54mps is a wireless speed not the actual internet connection speed... if your lagging try wire the xbox and see if that fix's

you could also disable the wep/wpa security for the xbox and hardcode the xbox MAC address into your router
