Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook
My laptop has a vga output for an external moniter, but it also has an s-video plug. Which cable would be best to use for the best picture quality?
Always VGA, however, if your tv doesn't have a VGA port, then it may not be compatible. When using a tv for a monitor there are a few things to keep in mind. First tv's are made to be tv's, not computer monitors. With most you won't get the visual resolution that is expected, and with some you need drivers in order to get the resolution or to get it to work at all. Hope this helps, and good luck.
