Call the old ISP and ask them to release the router
If you haven't done so, try holding in the reset button for 10-15 seconds to see if that will factory reset it. Then, power down the equipment for a few minutes, including the modem from your broadband provider. Power up the modem first, wait until it loads completely, and then boot the router. See if that helps.

I don't have a modem, its just plugged in via an adsl filter. continuous broadband via phone line.
