Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Light engine needs to be replaced.

I have had my TV for 3 years. Problem started 5 weeks ago. Flashing light indicted bad bulb. Replaced and still no picture. Appliance company now says the light engine is burned up and needs to be replaced. Cost $1800. I can get a new TV for that. Anyone else have this problem? What was your solution?

Try this or get another Company to give you a better estimate and (print) show them this:

HERE IS THE SOLUTION FOR THAT PROBLEM AND THE ONES YOU WILL HAVE IN FUTURE:

Replace C9A51, C9A52, C9A61, C9A62 On power PCB.

REPLACE ALL WITH (680uFD, 16V, 105c), part number 181P734030.

Replace C9A37 and C9A38 ON POWER PCB. (3300uFD, 16 V).

Good Luck, big IRISH.

ps; Three boards on left side of TV and about 2.5 to 3 hours of repair time and make sure company is factory authorized.

OSRAM VS. PHILLIPS
This is about buying replacement bulbs for the WD62327 TVs.I dont know about the other models but I purchased a PHILLIPS replacement bulb and it worked for about a week and then those dumb flashing lights and no TV. I did some research and others were saying that you had to replace some condensers. Shop would do it for 600 dollars..Well i sent the bulb back and bought an OSRAM replaement bulb. The TV is now working perfect.
