Phillips just informed me that the 9 blink in HDTV sets was most likely the core processor which is also a BOCMA IC thats a thirty Pin IC on the Signal board.

Where can I find that board. What part do i need to replace?

Usually related to the vertical deflection IC in the DPTV series phillips / magnavox. The Vertical deflection is a BOCMA family IC

Thats on the Picture in picture (PIP PCB) but that doesnt usually shut the set down, that can make the set experience abnormalities in the split window functions, I would think its the Vertical deflection as thats a BOCMA IC as well, and that will shut the set down.

Possible that the fault relates to the weakness/absence of the G- signal process in the RGB network. It can be related to many issues, the failure of the IC, dry soldering of the IC or related circuit or failure of passive compoents here.
Need a check with a schematic to find the fault.

Green color projection is lifting from the bottom left corner of the screen. Convergence adjustment for the green projection is unresponsive

Howdy,

The TV has a convergence problem; the IC’s for that circuit will need to be replaced. The cost for this repair runs around $450.00 or more.

Replace the defective Convergence Output IC Part Number (STK392-110. When Convergence Output failure is
detected, it’s recommended that both IC’s be changed.

Thanks for choosing FixYA, Big Irish.

How do i fix my toshiba flat screen 57" tv when it looks like it is 3d

Howdy;
It sounds like the convergence IC's have failed.
Replace the defective Convergence Output IC Part Number 23905094 (STK392-110) using the revised “T” version IC Part Number 23135090 (STK392-110T). When Convergence Output failure is detected, it’s recommended that both IC’s be changed to the “T” type IC version. Inspect the Convergence Output IC’s for the “T” type version.

Toshiba 2938xp crt tv vertical deflection fail and i want diagram

I don't have access to the manuals for your specific model, but vertical failures are usually the result of poor connections at the vertical IC or a defective IC. Look for a small flat IC attached to a heat sink with about 9-11 pins. It may be marked LA7837 or something similar. Resolder the pins first. If that doesnot resolve the problem, change the IC.

Keep us posted,

I cannot adjust the convergence.

You have convergence output failure. The output ICs will need to be replaced and possibly a small component like a resistor or two as well. Expect to pay a service company $350-$450 to resolve this.

Have single horizontal line on 36" sanyo crt. believe vertical control circuit. what are common problems that i can check?

This is usually a failure of the vertical IC. This should be a small flat IC attached to a heatsink and may be marked LA7837 or something similar. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins first as poor connections can cause this as well. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace the IC.
