Check power supply charger, will it run without the battery? and is the battery taking a charge? If everything appears dead the power supply voltage needs to be tested make it is putting out the right amount.

MDR515h/f7 Dead....Think it is fuse? How can I replace it? THANKS

You can replace the fuse (if the unit is not under any warranty) by carefully opening the top cover - the fuse is a small glass tube in the power supply (near where the cord connects) check its rating and voltage (the replacement MUST match the original). You should be able to reach this easily without further disassembly of the unit.

If replacing this inexpensive part does not restore any power to your unit, then you have a faulty/defective power supply circuit - this should really be tackled in a fully equipped workshop with adequate facilities by a qualified technician; it is not meant for end-users to repair when it fails due to the potential dangers involved. Experience suggests in many cases a dead unit is not just a blown fuse, but a switchmode power supply failure.

Try replacing the fuse first - then consider submitting unit to a service centre for a quote, then you can decide afterwards if it's economical/worthwhile repairing.

DEAD, NO TURN ON, CHECKED INTERNAL FUSE OK

If the internal fuse is okay, then what you got here is a bad power supply. Many power supply's do die with the internal fuse intact what happends is the High voltage tranformer or relay goes out on you causing this to happed, Best thing to do is replace the unit becuase a new power supply would cost you more then the unit new. Let me know if you have any question.

Zenith 50pc3db troubleshoot green blinking power light no picture

That flashing light is either a failure of the power supply and or one of the drive boards (Y-Sustain, Y-Drives, Z-Sustain) to display the image.
The main board is seeing a problem and that is why the green light is flashing. You may have heard of "POP" sound before your TV started this issue.
Looking through the back cover of your TV and seeing the power supply, if the large capacitors’ tops are swollen or split, then you will know that is a source of your problem(s).
Beyond just looking at the power supply, to correctly trouble shoot your issue would require some TV repair tools and a little knowledge of electronics.
Your Zenith/LG TV was made around 2007.
Let me know if I can help you out any more.
Good Luck.

Panasonic dvd video recorder dmr-e85h is dead

I had same problem. I replaced two bad capacitors on the power supply card. See http://vassfamily.net/projects/DMRE85H/dmre85h.html The capacitors I replaced were C1260 and C1261 slightly different from the one on "vassfamily.net". Everything works now for me...

Good luck.

Also for those interested, I found the "commands" listed on http://www.dxcc.com/dmr-e85h.htm useful when operating the DMR-e85h to correct problems.

Dead power supply.

Faulty power-supply symptoms:

The front panel display and buttons are completely nonfunctional and appear dead. The unit will do nothing more than display the following messages on the TV screen:

Interface error
(and or)
Interface error! Turn off the power

If a DVD or VHS tape was inserted prior to the error occurring, you won't be able to eject either from that point further. They'll remain stuck inside the unit until you've completed the repair detailed below.

Problem

If the AC power source (outlet) is ok and the line cord and fuse are ok but the unit is completely dead, you may have a problem with the internal switching power supply.

Locate the switching power supply and see if there is a fuse on its circuit board.

Completely dead units are typically caused by a failure in the power supply section.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

Sony DVP-NS55P DVD player will not power on. No LEDs light and no display message appears when the on/off button is depressed (dead). Fuse on power supply board is ok, no components look fried,...

If it is the power supply then the whole unit should be replaced. Or it indeed may be the power on button its self. Only technician with the appropriate knowledge of the particular machine will be able to tell and have the means to check it out.
