Hello please my sms icon and email icon when clicked are not responding although i can see that i have messages

It is a scam. Don't respond to it. Someone is phishing for information. You can block the number.

From the help section:

Hello,please kindly start by clicking on the menu icon then you click on the message icon,after that you will see sms and mms,you then click on the mms to open up your multimedia message sender.

instead of formatting just install an antivirus in to your cell and if it detects means it s fine.. no need to format at all.
if problem persists then take your cell to technician and give for flashing.

Just go to your options, and click "themes". Then hit "restore theme defaults" and the icons should reappear.

You might also want to got to options menu in the email messages. It appears as you have a combined inbox instead of a separate one.
There is an option that says SMS AND EMAIL INBOXES with three options:
Theme controlled
Combined
Separate

Set it as separate and you should be ok.

Check in the SMS and MMS icon for a new Text, or Voice Mail Message Indication. If you can not locate an unread message in the SMS or Voicemail, then try removing and reseating the battery to reset the device and resync with your Provider's Network.

Although you may not have given enough information*, try this:

1. Click or double-click on the document icon in the email message. It will open or you may have to "save" it to your computer, such as the "desktop". Then you can open it from there by double-clicking on the saved document.

2. The computer you are using may not have the proper program to read the document. If you have Microsoft Word 2003 or 2000, then the document may be Microsoft Word 2007. The sender has to send it in Word 2003 or 2000 format.

1. What email program/service are you using? Outlook? Hotmail? Yahoo?
2. What is the name of the document? Is it a "TXT" or "DOC" or "DOCM" document?
3. Could you read it on a different computer?
4. Do you get an error message? What is the message?

I had the same problem If you SAVE any messages they move to your SAVED folder they will show as new just go into the file cabinet icon and see if any messages are there all you do is open them and the icon should go away
