That will not work. have u droped ur achos because if u have then the hard drive i prob. messed up. i had the same prob.

For the first step you have to go on our website, and download the latest firmware update for your product.
Plug your Archos 504/604 on the computer and copy the firmware previously downloaded at the root of your device.
