Hey I can provide you with some guidance, but can you provide more details?
    1) Is this a laptop or a desktop?
    2) Does this only happen when playing games? (Does the monitor work all other times?)

If it happens only when your playing games then your video card crashed.
If it just happens randomly (game or no game) it could either be a monitor problem or a video card problem.

Here is a video card stability test:

It sounds like it could be a loose or bad video cable. This solution would only apply if you are not using HDMI to carry the video signal as HDMI also carries the audio. I would first check to make sure the cable is firmly secure in both the computer and the monitor, and if necessary, use the screws on either side of the connect to attach it. If the problem still persists, and you have another video cable you can try, I would swap the cables and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then the other video cable is bad.
Best, Hunter

Hi there. I had the same problem months ago when I try to play high end games like Sims 3 my monitor goes into power saving mode. I tried to check every possible causes of the problem. It could be that your computer is overheating try to clean your computer and check if your fans still works. Second it could me your power supply malfunctioning, maybe it does not meet the required power to make your game work. Last cause is your video card malfunctioning, what I did is to just buy a new video card and it works.
If you do not have spare power supply or video card you can go to a computer repair shop for them to check the possible problem that causes it to go into power saving mode. It can also save you money before you can buy a new one.
Hope this helps, Have a good day!

It sounds like you have a driver problem. I would recommend that you reinstall the drivers for your video card. After that I would make sure that you install the drivers for your monitor. 1440x900 is not a standard resolution so the Windows default monitor driver may not have the proper refresh rate for your monitor. If you monitor drivers do not have a installer the link below will help you install them.

How to install your monitor drivers in Windows 7

Acer X193w-- input not supported..

Hello,

This is likely a screen resolution issue.

That monitor has a native resolution of 1440x900 (I used to have one). If the game is feeding the monitor too high a resolution, the monitor can't display it and.....input not supported. So, if the game has a configuration option (without going into the game itself) set the resolution to 800x600 and try to play. If it works, bump up the resolution until it looks acceptable.

Hope this helps!

Its crashing in the middle off games!!

This is interesting . let me guss just before it happens somtimes gets white or green vertical lines.
I know what the problem is , but im surprised to hear its happening with newer consoles.

The Problem ,there are about 9-10 solder ball just under the hot spot on the G.P.U.
after it seem a relatively short period of time (usage) they start to get thermal fatigue
and fracture open ,and cause a long list of problems .Im afraid the only way to fix
it will void the warranty.

Recommendations :Return it to MS and get a replacement

Sorry this probably wasn't much help .

Monitor acer al1916w

Hm. Well, it might not be the monitor issue. What is your computer model? Are you using a regular PC, laptop (is it wide screen or standard?..in other words is it a square or rectangle..?), MAC, etc? Secondly, what is the resolution of your monitor? I believe this must be a card issue in your computer. Have someone check out your graphic card to make sure its compatible with your game. Some times the resolution can cause issues on computers. My husband has ran into that with a few of his games. He could simply go internally on the computer options to change the resolution on the graphic card in order to play the game. It wouldnt look as awesome as it really should, but this should help you out. Good luck. Let me know if you're still having problems. Cheers!
