I would suspect that a fuse or two is open or a low valued resistor is open. Can you please post the make and model of the set?

Thanks,
Dan

The 6 blinks indicate no horizontal raster. This is traced to a couple of capacitors or the "jungle" IC. I need to look up your model to get the specific locations and designations.

Tv will not stay on

Another great mitsubishi tv introduced in 2002 chassis # v20b,Most problems with this fine tv have been no problems..... but power supply capacitors and convergence ic's. This tv is equiped with the diagnostic led codes for your tech. but i'm sure he will skip that step and head right for the fuses that open when the convergence ic's go bad. Get it fixed !! it'll last another 6 or 7 years.

50H13 Red Convergence Problem

I do wish people like troylove11 would stop giving advice on things they obviously know very little about. The Toshiba projection sets never have loose connections on the convergence IC's, and there are never bad resistors in those sets. There is no separate convergence board and there are no adjustments on any boards. The convergence adjustments are done electronically, through the remote in the service mode. Also, moving or bumping a projection set cannot cause a solder joint to crack loose. Your set has 2 large convergence IC's and one of them has burned out. This is very common in projection sets. Do not attempt to enter the service mode to make adjustments, because you will only be messing up the correct settings and when the new IC is installed, the colors will still be way out of alignment. Replacing a convergence IC is a very simple thing for an experienced tech, and it is well worth getting the set fixed. If your set uses the STK392-010 IC's, it is probably a good idea to go ahead and replace both IC's with the newer, upgraded STK392-150 IC's. If you have not changed the convergence settings, the picture will return to normal once the IC is replaced and very little realignment will be necessary. When I do a housecall for a set like that it takes about an hour and a half and I charge $150, but shops in your area will vary so ask around.

Convergence amp

You usually have to replace the two ICs at the same time along with resistors to get the longest life from the Convergence amps. You can get the repair kit for your model at the following link which contains both ICs and all 6 resistors plus instructions with pictures that explain how to do the repair yourself. Heres a link to the correct kit for your model Toshiba.

Screen has double image in red

This is a convergence problem that is either poor solder connections at the convergence ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself. Update this if you wish to attempt the repair and I'll provide additional details and instructions.

HOW TO FIX CONVERGENCE IC FAULT & HOW MUCH COST APPROX

5: ----------------- IC 4011

3 is convergence, either one of the two convergence ICs faulty, or something else (capacitor etc.) has blown on convergence board.

Horizontal Curvature with convergence problem

DA, convergence circuit has failed, the IC`s and possibly a couple of support resistors need to be replaced, your right about it being a good set, 6 years is about average for convergence IC`s, call your local shops for a few estimates and get it fixed, it will run for a lot longer than 6 years, hope this is the advice your looking for, e-mail me if you have more questions, BMW Rider

Toshiba 43HX70 convergence fix - now no video

I think the hardest to solve problems are those I installed!!
Where do we start==no lecture, but I never change a resistor
unless it has changed (in value!) Use a digital meter and check
the value of each resistor.Toshiba is a bit confusing as to values
of each resistor and location in relation to the IC's.Go over your own work first.Check micro fuses in power supply=F851,F852,
etc. Carefully resolder steel jumper wires at board edge, they feed
B+ to convergence amp circuit.Be sure to verify no shorts in pins
of IC's.(use your meter).........T

Need akai pt4799hd setup code

Do NOT attempt to enter the service mode to align convergence if you cannot align the convergence with the user's menu. If the convergence cannot be corrected with the user's menu, it means that one of your convergence IC's has burned out and possibly burned out the fuse next to it. If you change any settings without first replacing the bad parts, you will only make things much worse. I believe that set is actually a Samsung, and has the 2 convergence IC's on their own board mounted above the small signal board. If you do not know how to identify and replace shorted convergence IC's, allow a qualified tech to handle it for you.
